This is actually a good idea.
Car safety features are based on the average sized man from 50 years ago when men were more likely to drive. Today, women are about equally likely to drive, but they suffer greater injuries in car crashes due to their smaller, on average, size, and the car's safety features being designed for a larger person.
In an ideal society, men and women should coexist in peace. If women are suffering greater injuries in car accidents, we should work on improving car safety for everyone.
Actually, if what they say is true, then hell ya, they need to revisit the issue.
Just wait until the mob begins demanding transgender dummies, various gendered dummies, and black-only dummies. Oh wait... we already have those, don't we?
SOOO then we need male and female air bag configurations and pressures?? What good is testing with "female" dummies unless the safety features are redesigned, and for which body configurations? Don't they have to use some type of average for maximum safety of the traveling public anyway?? What about grossly obese people, where are their crash dummies? Anorexic crash dummies, handicapped crash dummies, . . . heck, just do a personal crash dummy for every person then.
Male and female cars then, what about Big Rigs?
"for instance, standard seatbelts do not fit more than sixty percent of third-trimester pregnant women." WUT? I got huge and never had this problem. Maybe if it is not safe, don't drive? Is it worth it?
The crash dummies are non-binary. That should have suited them all.
