I think you misread or misunderstood sourcesPlease’s comment (as have others). Saying the chances are not good agrees with OP’s assertion, that it is not likely to be coincidence. It also states that the event is “low probability and high impact” which necessarily means it’s connected.

That’s why he or she even followed up asking you to explain how you understood the comment because it was clear from your response that you didn’t.
