Stiffen their spine?

People don't have passive income from book deals and media talks like Palin does. People have families, dogs, cats, apartments, mortgages, and bills to pay. It she opens up her savings and starts supporting a few families that say "no" then I'll believe this is more than just political clout.

Fair enough, and I don’t know her charitable acts. But she is still using her voice and speaking out, even if she doesn’t have any chance in hell ever getting another political position.
