Yes...that is the future. But at the same time thats why people developed crypto in the first place...to have an open and honest ledger that is completely separate from governments and big banks. The digital dollar is coming and it will be just as worthless as the paper dollar. At that point it will be smart to have you money in digital gold like Bitcoin. Other digital mediums of exchange that are faster and more secure will be accepted along side digital dollars. Prepare now, there is no escaping this...its like betting against the internet in 1996. Diversify your investments but make you do have at least some crypto. Do your own research.
The problem is …which crypto?? There’s like 40,900 of them
Start researching the industry...start researching the top 25 in market cap to start...as you start learning more...the coins that are running legitimate forward looking projects and utilities are going to be easily Distinguishable from the meme coins which have only the purpose of people trying to get rich quick. Then as you go youll start to discover smaller projects with potential. Its all very fascinating
Which site should I use to research it?
Well for a good breakdown of what the top coins in marketcaps even are id start with coinmarketcap.com. There youll see everything listed out and you can filter lists and click on coins to see performance histories and links to their websites etc. As far as getting more familiar with the industry in general i highly recommend watching Cryptosrus on youtube...super down to earth tell it like it is guy who has been in the crypto space for a while and made mistakes of his own along the way. There also plenty of other channels on youtube that can help explain things but just be prudent because some channels care more about entertainment than informing
