the vaccines literally arent slowing things down though so arent we still on lockdown AND killing people with vax?

There may be localised lockdowns, but for the most part there are no lockdowns. Businesses are back, and people are back on the streets, and have been for a while. Without vaccines, it would have been dire messaging, and draconian lockdowns
