I know this can be hard to believe but it has an answer, a legitimate answer, for every season.
Can I just preface before we give praise to all the Bible readers alone. God came unto my life this year in a Quantum way. It's been magnificent. Before that I was not a regular Bible reader. I carried the Commandments in my heart and soul instinctively. The road to true happiness is connecting closer to nature and the people who love you to feed you any time you ask. As l sit for the first time ever in my entire life, feeling full contentment with my life lived. (as you all should allow yourselves to feel who light up this place) I am at much more ease to see my own character flaws. Because once you're internally contented. You want to shine your brightest to all the other people around you. God bless all your divine hearts and souls.
That's wonderful. I struggled to read it for years after I got saved: I was going through a very rough time and messages of God's love and blessings seemed out of reach. Knew I had to persevere as there was no way I wanted to return to the darkness. Accepting God's love is hard for those who grew up without any, takes time for trust to grow. Whenever I was under attack the Lord would patiently show me the progress I'd made; healing, release from all kinds of problems. Little by little He brought me on, my faith has grown to the point where I am ready to step out of the boat and walk on water, if called to.
Daily readings are now a joy, not a duty: I am constantly amazed at how it speaks directly to whatever situation I am in. Answers, encouragement and reproof when needed - I often think the Good Book reads me. God's love and wisdom are beyond comprehension. So thankful for the contentment and peace I now have.
As I've evolved into a better thinker. I'm curious now to see how much the Bible resonates.
66 books....40 men writing....One Author.
Yeah but which version? Should i read the king james version? Or Constantine's? What about all the missing scripture? The omitted scripture? what about all the documents under the vatican?
And im supposed to trust this one book? And nothing else.
ESV is pretty good. I mean ideally you go back to the thousands of manuscripts from the 200s and 300s. You build trust by learning truth. If you research it yourself you’ll find truth if you want it.
I always return to the King James, never disappoints.
NKJ is what I recommend.
Truth vs everything else period.
Word Up.
Blind need no blind fold.
Its also been the cause of a few of them.
Name one.
How about the Reformation? A massive scism that shattered the christian faith like glass with each shard following its own biblical interpretation and providing an excuse for christians to kill christians.
Beat them with the bible, nice. That's my move too
Is the Bible still the best selling book of all time?
It's called the New Testament, and it's in there too.
Read Revelation. We haven't finished the story that's already in there yet.
It doesn't need an update though. It's a complete story.
Have you read Revelation recently?
