My entire family and I just got over COVID and nobody gave a shit. Docs told us to stay home and treat symptoms with Tylenol and ibuprofen. Deadliest illness ever my ass.
Ah. Those were the days. I remember when a virus just had to run its course and no one was concerned bc it was only a virus. That would just run its course.
I remember when Id keep my kids home bc they had a cold and teachers were annoyed bc theyd have to make up work. And Id get annoyed bc pretty much no other parents kept their sneezing, coughing kids home.
I remember in big flu 2017/18 insisting on flu test bc I needed to know bc I had a new baby--but dr said it was pointless since nothing can be done for a virus anyway and how the tests are not reliable.
My favorite--I remember when I wanted to wear a mask in the nicu bc my whole fam was sick and tho I wasnt I was afraid flu just hadnt shown symptoms yet--and dr told me: Are you sick? I said no, but what if Im not symptomatic yet? He said, you can only spread it if youre coughing or sneezing, theres no need to wear a mask. Can you imagine this? In the most vulnerable part of hospital--a nicu dr said this. Why? bc its TRUE.
When I was a kid, I rarely stayed home sick. When I got chicken pox, I felt fine after the second day and actually asked if I could go back to school. It was hard for me to accept that you could feel great and still be required to skip.
I remember when leftys were "super spreaders" going to work with the flu getting everyone sick including the vulnerable old and not caring one bit. Oh the good ol days 🤣
So I currently have the flu. I had Covid back in October. If I had to pick one to go through again- I’d pick Covid. Sorry if that sounds insensitive- but I’ll take my Covid stuffy nose any day over this horrid cough, congested head, and wheezing in my lungs. I even had to break out my nebulizer yesterday. I haven’t needed to use that thing in quite some time.
I had swine flu in 2009 and so did everyone in my office and my government never gave a flying fuck! We all agreed it was the worst flu we've ever had. Still trying to catch Covid, after 2 years.

You can always count on me not to give a shit OP.
Yeah why not, I don't give a shit.
Right. "Well, how soon can you get back to work?"

Ah yes, it was a minor inconvenience.

I hope you feel better soon! Stay hydrated.
Thanks! I’ll make it through… just like every other time lol
