WHY IS JESUS' BIRTH SO IMPORTANT TO ME?
Jesus Christ and the Redemption of Man and Woman
Why did Jesus have to come as a man? Adam and Eve had everlasting life set before them. However, under the sway of the serpent, Satan, they chose to disobey God. The consequences of their sin continues to this day, adversely affecting all of mankind. Death!
Because of God's great love for mankind, He has purposed to redeem the human family from sin, death and Satan—through His Son, Jesus the Christ. Jesus became the “only begotten” Son of God.
Jesus’ ministry was “proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God” The kingdom of God is, in essence, God’s redemptive reign. With the coming of Christ, the kingdom begins not in the coronation of a mighty king but in the birth of a crying baby.
“The kingdom of God is in the midst of you”
“I am the living bread, which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world”
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy KINGDOM COME,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
So, yes, Jesus' birth is very important to me
If only everyone would know Him.
