While he did chose us the reason we invite Jesus is because he doesnt force himself on anyone. U invite him in so he can do the work. It's an act of surrender when u invite him. Each day we should wake up and invite Jesus in. Hour for hour min for min second for second we should be saying Jesus fill me up and make me new.
In John 15:19 Jesus says, "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."
Salvation is a work of the Lord. Acts 2:21 says, "And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved."
Roman 3:10-18 says," As it is written:
“There is none righteous, no, not one; 11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” 13 “Their throat is an open [d]tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; “The poison of asps is under their lips”; 14 “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” 15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways; 17 And the way of peace they have not known.” 18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

Man in his fallen state will not choose God. He must be regenerated by the Spirit first, Titus 3:4-6 says, "But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
The Savior came into the world to save sinners such as me. Praise God, Halleluiah and Amen.
I said he chooses u. But once u come to accept that u can then invite him in each day and grow u. Make Jesus your best friend and ask him to teach u. Invite him in your heart each day to take away your sins and fill u with light. He will hear you and he will answer. He wants to give each of us a purpose. He wants us to feel part of this journey. He is King but he still wants us to want to rise up for him
Trudat. The way to do that is by knowing His Word. Col 3:16 " Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.." because Jesus said we are His friends if we keep his commandments. John 15:14 "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you"
2 Pet 1:2-3 "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.."
The knowledge of Jesus only come through knowing His word.

If the wealthiest people in the world had righteousness as their creed and pooled their resources without corruption ruining their effort, hunger and filthy environments worldwide could be ended. Use money as a tool for good. And it is a beautiful thing.
