I'm not sure how to answer that question. The intention behind the great flood was to rid the world of nephilim...But nephilim were still on this earth after the great flood; To purify the world of the genetically impure...

The biggest difference between the great flood and this genocide is that God directly made the great flood happen. This is being done at the hands of Satan and these evil people. Terrifying, But as I'm sure you would agree, this situation is extremely interesting.
