Americans are more patient than any population on earth. An armed populace, that hasn’t popped off yet against what their country is going through proves that.
Canadians are not pacifists, we are not long-fused, there is no powder keg. We are simply harmless. There is a major difference. And we all need to pull our heads out of our asses for long enough to see that.
Drunken bar fights and rebelling against tyranny are two different things and your grandiose view of the Canadian comes from the former.
We all see Canada through the eyes of hockey. And Canada was settled by loyalist to the crown.
Not just loyalists, but also the one who came to the Canadas from the American colonies because they were AFRAID to oppose the crown.
People don’t want to hear this and by people I mean other Canadians but our ancestors were the ones not good enough to call themselves American. They were good enough to cast off from Britain and navigate those harsh waters. they were good enough to work the wild North American land and carve their own places here (and these are no small feats mind you, we’ve every right to be proud of these things) But they were NOT good enough to take that final and most important step of fighting to, and forging their very own nation. Canada was ALLOWED to exist. America was not.
None of this means we can’t change things going forward but we have to acknowledge the truth. Call me a blasphemous Canadian but there is nothing and no one who can convince me that America is not the greatest nation on earth with the noblest history. God bless the USA.

In case you didn't know, Canadians are also an armed populace. We have our guns. It's just harder to get them. This is why we haven't suffered the fate of Auz so far.

I hail from Vanderhoof BC. Canadians are not an armed populace, there are more unarmed Canadians than armed. By a lot. This is a fact you could have looked up. Individuals will always present exceptions but anyone with reading comprehension would see I was speaking factually about Canadians as a whole. Canada hasn’t turned to Oz because the USA is next door. That is literally the only reason.

Estimated 4 million gun owners. Now even I think that’s a little low and I would personally estimate the number to be around 7 million.
7 million out of a population of 40 million. That’s a lot of non gun owners.
