I think a good number of people on all religious sides are going to come to realize what they have been taught is far from truth. This is mainly gut instinct, but I don’t think Jesus was a messiah, I think he was purely a messenger that did not want to be worshipped. I have very little evidence to support my claim….. much like all religions.
Also commended and granted prayers to people who the Bible literally says "worshipped" Him.
E.g.;
Matthew 8:2
Matthew 9:18
Matthew 15:25
Matthew 28:9
John 9:38
Hebrews 1:6
The Greek word used for "worship" in those passages -- proskuneo -- can also mean to show reverence, like one would to an authority.
The same word is used in this verse about the synagogue of satan worshipping Christians.
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and WORSHIP before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. (Revelation 3:9 KJV)
Just because it says "worship", does it mean Christians are gods?
The KJV Bible also says Nebuchadnezzar worshipped Jesus.
Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel (Daniel 2:46)
Does that mean Daniel was god?
If the answer is no, then apply the same to Jesus. He taught people to worship God. he himself had a God. And thus wasn't worshipped as God, but was only being shown reverence.
Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Zec 12:10b ...and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.
Every knee shall bow Jesus, God
Phi 2:10-11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Isa 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Creator Jesus, God
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Ge 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Col 1:16 For by him (Jesus) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him
Isa 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
Saviour Jesus, God
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
Phi 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Tim 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Isa 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? Have not I the LORD? And there is no God else beside me; a just God and a saviour; there is none beside me.
“FIRST AND LAST” Jesus, God
Rev 1:11a Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:
Isa 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Rev 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
Isa 48:12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
"I Am" Jesus, God
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Exo 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
John 13:19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.*
Isa 41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.
John 18:5-6 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he.* And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he,* they went backward, and fell to the ground. (!!!!)
Isa 43:13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he,* ye shall die in your sins.
Isa 48:12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
*NOTE: The word “he” does not appear in these Greek texts; it has been added by well-meaning translators in an attempt to provide clarity to the English version. They probably didn’t understand why Jesus would say simply “I am,” and thought that the phrase sounded incomplete without a direct object.
**NOTE: The Hebrew name for God; Jehovah, or possibly Yahweh, is actually derived from the Hebrew words “hayah,” which means “to exist;” and “havah,” which means “to breathe.”
In Whose Name is Salvation? Jesus, God
Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Who Raised Jesus From the Dead?
Father? Son? Holy Spirit?
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. [referring to His body]
1 Pet 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
Philippians 2:5-8 Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,
who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
as something to be exploited,
but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
being born in human likeness.
And being found in human form,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to the point of death—
even death on a cross.

Did not want to be worshipped? He claimed to be God which is why the religious leaders wanted to kill him
