A real Texan sees TN as a literal brother state: keep in mind the history between our Revolution and TN. David Crocket came here with lots of TN folks and they fought at the Alamo and elsewhere. When Texas became its own nation we literally expedited citizenship to those from TN prior to all other states.

Yea it's a rad story. When he lost the election in TN he came down here to TX with an entourage of frontiersman that wanted to help out. They really didnt like what was going on in Texas with Mexico. That completely non-domesticated mentality of "I got this. I can come help. We can do this."
I think the famous quote from crocket when he lost the election was "You can all go to Hell. I'm going to Texas."
