Trust me, if they thought they could get away with doing it, they'd have done it a while ago.
They know they're losing the public really badly right now. There are already cracks appearing in the armor. They're asking for the unvaxxed nurses and doctors back already. They can't sustain this with this level of resistance, which is growing, and they know it.
They can amplify everything with their bullhorns, but the rate of people going back for boosters is abysmal, less than a third of the people who got their shots have gotten boosted.
They'll threaten it, just to get you to take your shots, "because I simply HAVE to travel for work/family/etc". But, I'm calling their bluff on this one. I don't think they can weasel that one through.
I hope I'm not wrong on this, but I'm actually fairly optimistic on this one.
I'm not as optimistic as you are, fren. In the short term I expect all the airlines to voluntarily implement a vaccine requirement in the near future, despite it being unconstitutional for the government to mandate it.
I think many large businesses no longer care about their bottom line. They are not acting normally.
In the long term, we will win. All these threats have made people angry and they won't get a vaccine just because it makes things easier.
I see that too. My take is that someone at the top stands to make huge gains, or is so afraid of something that they don't care what happens to the company they are a part of running.
The narrative needs to crumble real fast now. I am so mad about the way things are going in New Zealand.
MANDATES AREN'T LAWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any airlines that require vaxxes or masks are all requiring these ON THEIR OWN!!!!
The airline themselves are requiring this nonsense. No one else. Everyone needs to tell these airline that THEY are the problem. Tell them no one is making them pull this nonsense on the passengers but themselves. Boycott any of these airlines that won't remove these phony restrictions.
One would think their lawyers might know this.
Maybe.
But remember, the pharma industry makes what the airline industry makes in a year, in a matter of months. Pharma can outpace other industry caps and use that excess to buy influence for pennies.
