Mostly because you didn't need at least half a million bucks in student debt (if well applied in STEM, law, med school, not transgender basket weaving dance therapy) to land a job capable of maintaining a family. You just had to have a couple basic to intermediate skills in a trade and not be a complete retard.
And STEM actually taught STEM and you weren't required to take a bunch of other bullshit along with it.
We now live in a nation where doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the press destroys information, religion destroys morals, and our banks destroy the economy.
well said. meme this with the 4th Turning.
I understand the sentiment. Things seemed simpler. I knew a lot of kids whose dad’s worked two jobs back in the 50’s and 60’s. One full time and a part time job. If you were an hourly factory worker back then you were basically working two jobs by putting in overtime. And a lot of families never sent their kids to college because there were good paying factory jobs.
I think if men wore hats again then society would fix itself. Buncha larping fucking 9 year olds in little League hats instead.
I would totally rock a cowboy hat everywhere if I could. But when I do wear my Stetson, I look like I just escaped from the Rez and I can tell some people do double takes when they see me. Ha!
I still do wear a hat similar to the one in the photo.
Both my grandmother's worked...
In the 50’s ? it was not the norm
Working Hard was the norm on the Farms in the mid west. My Grandmother worked her butt off. Milked cows, Sold milk, Made butter for sale, fed Chickens, Sold eggs, Dressed out Chickens for dinner, Tended the Garden & Orchard, Canned everything you can think of, Made Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner to feed everybody. 2 Aunts drove tractor and worked harder in the field than most men. Everybody in the 50's including the Kids worked their butts off on the Farm.
Yeah the stay at home weird wife is an invention of feminist radicals in the 70s to caricaturize a straw woman.
Yes it was in the cities and among the ethnic
