Listen to the signal, not the noise. Watch the water.

think you need to re think that...as you are digging you are working on the axial and radial circumference..lol...it will always seem flat no matter where you are.....
That's nothing. The Pacific Ocean is flat for thousands of miles!
"Signal not noise. Here's a retarded picture of flat earth nonsense that has nothing to do with anything."
Better title. Feel free to use it on your next retarded post.
Come on already. Water follows the curve of the earth. Water "wants" to seek the lowest level. The lowest level is the closest level to the center of the earth. If water were level (as you describe) for 100 miles it would be higher from the center of the earth at the ends of the measurements and lower in the middle.

The Panama Canal has 3 sets of locks, which raise and lower ships when crossing from one ocean to another.
Ever see the CRT? (Canal and River Trust of England)
Locks are a what happens to allow the capture of water to hold it's level for that particular section of the canal and allow for the raising and lowering to the next piece of water. Without locks England's canals would be dry ditches.
In the case of the Suez there is no lack of water no need to hold or release and there is no need to change water levels this make the canal work. As a result the tide affects the Suez more so then most but if your ship stays within the plotted canal the water level changes don't affect the ship as much either.
