Sadly, a lot of the old culture disappeared during the last century because of the efforts of the elites, especially the religious stuff. We still thankfully have the other things, like our clothes culture, food culture, and stuff like that.

Another strange thing, among the Sámi having dogs is very common, almost every family in a predominantly Sámi area will have one. Yet I almost never heard of a dog attacking kids. Might be because the dogs get raised alongside our children, and when grown they basically think of the kids as almost their own.

I think that's why muslims don't dare pull their shit in Sámi areas. Well, that and the cold.
