Meanwhile, every house near me is selling for 500K minimum, and the new ones they're building have waiting lists and lotteries. Where the fuck are all these people getting this money?
People fleeing from California selling their shacks for >1mil and coming to “fly over” states, outbidding the locals by far a d pocketing the difference.
And it's Blackrock buying all of those milly+ homes in California.
That's going to be a terrible investment when either a) none of us ever move back to California, or b) the market resolves itself and homes are affordable again (so their dystopia of renting only never comes about).
Down here in Texas, the housing market is BONKERS. Blackrock is buying up all of the houses, throwing cash on top of the asking price. Tons of houses are sold and then go unoccupied. No idea why.
Yeah in my neighborhood homes sell in a day for more each time another one comes on the market. We have been so tempted to sell our house for a decent profit, but anywhere we buy land would be overpriced also. We would love to buy some land and build if the land doesn’t already have a house on it. But even land far out is too expensive, so I guess we shall stay put.
Homes in my neighborhood are selling depending on square footage from $250,000 - $350,000 (2300 - 3000 square feet). We could probably get maybe $290,000 - $300,000 as right now as there are no houses on the market in neighborhood.

House Hunters 2022: My wife is a stay at home Memelord and I'm a 4chan moderator. our budget is 2.6mil
Residential window prices went up 8% here twice in December alone...thats like firing afterburners on an already derailing freight train.
Its over. Question is who wins after this flaming wreck is done
We have printed more money in the last 2 years than the cumulative total up to that point. It’s going to implode and soon.
Debt
