When the temperature outside is 1 degree without the windchill and your well pump freezes because the heat lamp burned out, you want to be married to a manly man!
Just bought this little fixer upper 3 months ago. Of course, he added a small space heater to the mix so we aren't reliant solely on a bulb for our water.
So to all you competent men-- THANK YOU!
maybe they should do a survivor episode in an arctic setting.....?
Nothing like the smell of toxic masculinity in the morning! Or the New Year for that matter.
Every day I am more and more grateful for him.
Amen! Also, a big shout-out to those who were not necessarily raised to “know how to do stuff” but are now busily training themselves in practical skills as the needs arise—turning the tide to save the world, one repair project at a time! 🤣 God bless ‘em all!
so true! as the domestic in this situation, that's what i'm doing! learning to grow things, teaching daughter how to cook with what's on hand, sewing.... all those necessary skills that stretch a dollar into next week.
Exactly! We’re ALL having to re-blaze the trails that our ancestors took for granted. 🙂
Agree! I’m very thankful for my manly man.
It's true! I make fun of my husband's "hardware store" in the basement and garage, but he always has what we need when we need it.
very cool.
guess i'll quit complaining about the mess :)
Amen. My husband can build or fix anything; and he is self-taught.
self taught-- seems to be a better learning tool than edumacation that spoon feeds the answers. then when life doesn't line up with the book scenarios..... well, you know how it is.
Most everything you learn how to do yourself, you learn the hard way. It seems to stick in your mind better.
oh i can see that!
Autodidactic. Taught that to myself!
Love it.
I loved to Texas from Mich. I can't deal with the tundra anymore.
