We are in a war with the DS and they use every tool they have against us. One of those tools is alcohol. It is advertised like it's essential to your existence as a human being.
It is one of the most potent weapons they have. What do we get out of it? Absolutely nothing. It is a downer, a depressant and a burden on your body.
The DS even went as far as starting a trend that praises the "dad bod" and as another patriot in here mentioned, they left them open through out the lock downs. That and fast food of course.
It has some benefits but we don't apply it in that manner. This is the time to get fit, physically, mentally and spiritually.
The countless benefits in your daily life are enough to cut alcohol out but consider these two extra reasons:
1. The DS won't use fat slobs to come to your door if shit hits the fan. If you can't hold your own cause you're overweight, panting and unable to move, the 2A won't do you any good
2. President Trump does NOT drink alcohol and makes that very clear

About 3 years ago I cut it down 90%, Not a sip since July. I couldn't feel better. Also lost a shit ton of weight…over 100lbs!!!
It’s weird how much weight you can add by drinking. Hell, I don’t even eat that much while drinking but the weight still goes up. Fuckin alcohol
It's because there is a massive amount of sugar your body has a hard time metabolizing so it converts to fat and get's stored in various areas depending on your body type. The other factor is that when you drink, you're not going to scarf down a salad and legume bowl lol. You're gonna eat a burger with fries, chicken wings with drenched in table salt and other sugary dressings and if you're going to booze hard, the next day you're going to eat a large pizza to yourself and sleep all day.
It's all encompassing lol

Diet is a complex thing but let's be clear: The burger, fries, chicken wings, whatever, not even the beer is necessarily the issue on their own. But you quickly lose count of your carbs, caloric and protein intakes.
Additionally you add all those carbs up, particularly the alcohol that breaks down to simple carbs as well as the alcohol itself having an effect on your system and you are less likely to be active in any form.
If you work out, then you can eat more. If you eat high protein, your metabolism will skyrocket. If you eat carbs at the right times, your gains will be notable.
Diet is complex...and those who are keeping their metabolism at its peak are the ones who will maintain their weight more than people just operating on a caloric deficit or running 10 miles of cardio.
Your metabolism is the most important part of your weight.
Wow. That is unreal. I bet walking up a set of stairs never felt so good. You should be incredibly proud of yourself and hold onto that feeling of accomplishment.
