I made this and went to the effort of buying organic lemons and grapefruit to avoid pesticide contaminated fruit skin...
...and the result tasted horrific with an aftertaste that got worse and worse.
It was a waking nightmare.
I wasn't expecting it to taste nice and I'm not a princess about such things, however it simply wasn't edible no matter how much I tried to water it down. I felt ashamed, but literally couldn't do anything about it. I couldn't consume it.
So I threw it away and bought three tubes of horse paste for $12.
All fruit...ALL, organic or otherwise has to be washed with soap and rinsed well before use, especially if using the skin/rind/peel, etc. There is always some form of pesticide or contaminant on anything bought in a store, regardless of what is said by the FDA, etc. on classification of “Organic“.
When I made it from the American Frontline Doctor‘s recipe a couple of weeks ago, it didn‘t taste bad. Quite nice, actually. However, I don‘t shy away from bitter tastes, as the bitter foods are EXCELLENT for digestion. It tasted a bit like marmalade I make, but without the sugar and orange, and my marmalade is fantastic. It tastes a hell of a lot better than Buckley‘s! If it works, then why quibble over a second or two of unpleasant taste? Better than taking a death shot. Smell and taste always disappear and/or diminish when nasal passages are clogged, so maybe that helps those that really dislike the bitter taste.
There might be different variations with the recipe, but their effects are still the same. Just do your research, think it over, pray if you have to, and it'll help.

Just my opinion.
Some people added sugar or honey to help with the flavor., Sorry for that. I hope you're feeling better now
Forget the comments about taste, Does this actually work?
The grapefruit peels and lemon peels have many helpful components, but don't make hydrochloriquine. In fact, the peels contain no quinine.
I boiled them down in tonic water, which contains quinine.
Keep the pot lid on and let it slow boil.
That gives us both the quinine and the natural substances in the peels.
Sweeten with honey and stevia. It's not bad tasting unless you let it happen.
I thought I read, Orange Juice, Blue Berries, all mixed with Tonic Water (quinine) ??
