To date, no live purified SARS - COV 2 has been isolated from either a living or dead person.

In and around Jan 20, an "Insilco" computer generated genome sequence of about 30k base pairs was uploaded to a Chinese database, citing this is the deadly virus.

It appears that all the variants are simply sections of this Insilco genome sequence, of around 3k, taken at random and labelled a variant.

I believe (but haven't checked lately) that the CRM database still has no sequence.
