I want to be a devil's advocate and say that, for the record, his kids could still be raised properly and not know.

I certainly don't know everything my father did, I would venture a guess that they don't know everything he did.

But the left keeps trying to pin a non-starter (a flight or two to a different state, instead of pointing all the times the politicians and other big names went to the actual island) on to Trump.

Also, the primary needed defense to Trump's integrity isn't that his kids would stop publicly asking these questions...

It's that Trump was the only one trying to help with the investigation, and the only one who specifically set aside time to do so. If you are guilty of the accusations, you wouldn't generally be the only one aiding in the takedown of the person who would have the receipts of your indiscretions. You would be trying to silently "take care of them" like the Clintons do.

Oh, and that Trump banned him from Mar a Lago. Can honestly never forget that one.
