I had really liked him. I liked his role in Walter Mitty, too. But lately I have heard him on sirius comedy channels, and although you call him edgy, I think he is fould and simply contributes to Godlessness. He makes fun of people who believe in God, routinely. I am sure he questions God after losing his wife, but I don't tolerate someone who uses their platform to tear down God. So, the twitter quotes seem to fit.
