I read the original article about him and phone phreaking in Esquire in college in 1971.
I have a printed copy of all the issues Phrack from decades ago. I used to subscribe to 2600, but I finally got tired of trying to keep up with everything.
I wasn't a hippie, even though I owned some double-knit bell bottoms and colorful shirts with large collars. I still have one of those wide ties that will cover most of a shirt front. I did visit the head shop a lot, as there was interesting stuff and young women.
I never used any mind-altering substance, as I knew it was a special time, and I wanted to remember every second of it. I have thousands of stories.
Very cool, they were special times and we grew up witnessing a lot. I was surrounded with it, but as I grew older I bonded less and less with it all. My Father was Conservative and Mom liberal so that was an education in itself. Hated College cuz of liberals, quit & went in USAF. Found my future.
The original CC was the best imo. I'm stickin with my onebar brick I guess? 👍🏼

Phrack...there's a few memories. I was a 70's hippie if I remember correctly? 😂. But always loved computer science.
