I'm all for true school choice. Under the current system, I can't move my daughter out of public schools using the voucher program because [they]'ve changed the grading req's for the schools themselves, down to the point where it should be a failing school she's at, but miraculously, it isn't. I can't afford to homeschool her because I'm a single parent. No help from the ex because she lives in a different state now. Can't take the time off from what I do in support of my family in order to homeschool her, can't use a voucher to change to a better school because her shit school somehow keeps getting a passing grade. At least she's been able to have the best teachers at her school in each grade level she's attended, but damn. Something has to be done about our schools, and soon.
