The term “ugly Americans” is completely VALID. Worked in Arabia 7 years, & mideast 12. ONLY problems at work or at home American generated. We used to dread going home due to drama generated by the wives. Man, I got stories.

Would love to hear some of those stories. I lived in Bavaria for a year and when friends / Americans came to visit it was SO OBVIOUS as they were so obnoxious. Repeatedly Germans would kick them out of Restaurants etc.
