Okay? I am still fine with such provisions in the law. For one, this is one practitioner's opinion, not absolute truth. For two, if what he says is true, then at that point it's between, the mother, the doctor and God. As long as abortion is considered murder (and yes, we want it to be classed as such. Making it illegal validates pro choice arguments. Classing it as murder supports the pro life stance) when the mom is healthy and there was no rape, that will have to be sufficient.
A woman who wants an abortion will seek one anyway. No amount of laws will stop it. But we can, as a country, stand against it and I do believe God honors that.
What he is saying is not an opinion though, it's truth. An abortion is never "necessary" in the 3rd trimester (nor in the 1st or 2nd but he's talking about third trimester in response to those who try to push the mother's health argument). If the mother cannot carry to term for one reason or another they always have the option to induce labor or perform a c-sec. Even in an emergency situation a c-sec can be performed much more quickly. Sure, the baby may not live but at least he/she is treated with dignity. Let him or her pass in their mother's arms. Not in bloody pieces on a table
Agreed 100%.
Pretty sure they use a vacuum.
That's an ectopic pregnancy. A specific unique rare condition with no other option. Your mom could have died as the tube would have ruptured, generally in the first trimester.. You can not induce in that case nor perform a c-sec. No, that was not an abortion as the pregnancy was not viable, could not/would not continue. Apple to oranges
For an actual abortion there is no context to be considered any more than there is context to be considered if someone commits infanticide.
Again, absolutely right. The ruptured fallopian tube would have resulted in the fetus dying, and potentially the mother. It would not have survived no matter what and at the loss of the mother's life. Ectopic pregnancies never survive.
