I don't think things are ever that simple with these players - whoever they are. Things are always more shades of grey rather than black or white and they always play the long game. They will go a different direction if the need calls for it - and that means bringing down what they started if it serves a larger purpose. They have a history of playing both sides in a conflict so that they always have backed the winner while at the same time, the loser as well. I am not privy to the inner workings of the machine, but what has just occurred in Kazakhstan has all the trappings of color revolution. The reasons for which, is still anyone's guess.
