The undersea cable crumb is quite old. The MSM has been holding that card for many years now. They bring it up every so often. If memory serves, they used this story two or three times since the 2016 campaign and I know it was used before then as well.
Boogey man gonna boogey. The real question is, will they actually play the card this time or is it just more narrative and news cycle control?
If they're telegraphing their play they won't make it.
Sorta what I thought. They've bluffed/used this exact fear mongering subject several times in recent years.
