So I'm perusing the CNN front page tonight to see what the normies are reading about and lo and behold there's an article about Ray Epps and how he was interviewed by the Senate Select Commitee.
https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/11/politics/january-6-ray-epps-fbi-false-flag/index.html
They apparently asked him about whether he was a plant for not (my words, not theirs) and his response was...
"he was not employed by, working with, or acting at the direction of any law enforcement agency on January 5th or 6th or at any other time, and that he has never been an informant for the FBI or any other law enforcement agency."
So I found the specific callouts to the FBI and 'other law enforcement agency"s to be interesting. Stood out for some reason. I mainly remember posts on GAW being about him being a glowie...C_A. I then did some searching and found ON THE C_A website, that they "are not a law enforcement agency".
Myth 5 here: https://www.cia.gov/stories/story/top-10-cia-myths/
The entire CNN article was centred around that specific question and answer and it's being used to point at us "conspiracy theorists" and debunk the theory.
Yeah...except he isn't any of the things they asked him about or in what his answer included.
Mockingbird asshats.
Agreed, it did strike me as a very lawyerly comment that was likely intended to deceive while being true. FBI is not mentioned in the first statement but is in the second.
"Being employed by, working with, or acting at the direction of any law enforcement agency." This does not include the FBI and also does not include the potential grey area that he was working for a middleman between him and the FBI or whomever.
"...and that he has never been an informant for the FBI or any other law enforcement agency." Does appear to cross out the possibility that he has been an informant, but just for FBI and law enforcement.
CIA is not supposed to be operating on US soil like this but no one could be bothered to ask, so that is still an open possibility.
Of course the fucker could just lie too and it's not like Jan 6th commission would get to bottom of it.
Classic strawman "debunk".
I think since normies and lefties LOVE using "official" sources. I would just point them to that page on the CIA website where they say it themselves.
"the C_A is NOT a law enforcement agency"
Then they're stuck either claiming the C_A website is wrong/lying or they have to realize that the wording was carefully selected to avoid him having to be honest.
