Assuming from your comment that you know a little about vitamins, got a question for ya;
If I want to acquire my Vitamin D the natural way (sun on skin), how many minutes/ hours of direct shirtless exposure do I need per day if Im all the way in southern Texas?
It depends on your skin tone, if you're white all you need is 30 minutes a day to get the recommended dosage. Those with darker skin need a longer exposure, I think this doc summed it up quite nicely:
Also a good note: it needs to be direct sunlight. If it's overcast you're not going to get the optimal dosage.. that's where D3 comes in when you can't get the natural stuff.

In winter in northern latitudes?
Age and how much fat you’re carrying determines how well you convert Vit D.
Whatever your method for getting Vit D, checking your levels will tell you if it’s working.
No, if you live in what's called the 37th parallel, you're not going to get an adequate amount of exposure:

That's why Vitamin D3 is so important and testing will help you determine if you're at a healthy level or not.
Im glow in the freekin dark fat-guy-white.
30 min it is.
And I have that very doc DLed and archived on my health drive. That doctor is BALLER with his in your face simplicity. Ill watch it soonest.
This must be the white equivalent of being so dark you're purple as a black person.

S Texas gets pretty good % of direct days.
Ill do some research on latitude/ fat/ overcast, and testing.
D is the only thing Im not naturaled on right now.
