Well, "Asian" is also racist. People claim the word is regional, but we all know what you mean when you say "Asian". It's a descriptor based on facial features and in all reality incredibly racist. But really all our labels are. I'm "white" but that's a broadstroke generalization for Irish, British, French, Spaniards, Italians, Greeks, Norwegians and so forth. Blacks? Yeah blacks in America have nothing in common with blacks anywhere else in the world.

I've had similar conversations with people and we ultimately conclude that we are not black or white. We identify as Americans first. Everything beyond that is irrelevant in the grand scheme. This isn't to say I am against cultural identity. I do agree with celebrating diversity... ALL diversity of ALL cultures. That is how we beat the cabal, by no longer capitulating to division over stupid bullshit.
