I learned about the Thalidomide scandal during one of the very few liberal arts courses that I have to take during college. It was sickening to hear what happened at that time.

In away, the lessons that I have learned in that one liberal-arts class might have saved my life, since it was a big factor in me not ever taking the clot shot.
