An awakening of sorts, although Djokovic's lawyers are (of course) studiously avoiding discussing the inefficacy of the vax or their client's right to personally decline to take it.
The Australian government concedes that Djokovic is physically not a health risk to the public. Instead, it justifies cancelling Djokovic's visa by saying that allowing him to remain in the country would encourage "anti-vax" sentiment and reduce the number of people who wanted one dose, two doses, or a booster.
Djokovic's lawyers have countered with (among other things) the point that their client was not known for his stance until the Australian government began hounding him. Moreover, they have questioned whether "anti-vaxxers" and the spread of COVID might actually be more emboldened by protests following their client's eventual deportation.
The court just took a lunch break. Until that point, the figure watching approached 90,000—not far short of the number watching the Arizona rally on RSBN/ YouTube.

That was my first reaction: If they had simply accepted his paperwork and let him play, no-one would have been any the wiser, and there would have been no dramas. This is entirely a problem of their own making. As for anti-vax sentiment, booyah!
