Threatened to sue my (UK) optician for refusing to give me an eye test for being mask exempt - and he just called to say he "just happens to be in the surgery today, and would I like to come and get tested?"
Finding this helped: Optometry Today
Face masks ‘not mandatory’ for patients in optical practices, according to new government regulations
FIGHT - DO NOT COMPLY.
Winning - God be praised!
Good for you. Optometry is another profession that often borders on fraud. Many people can correct their vision by performing the right exercises. A perfect example of this is the Chinese population had far better eyesight before computers and smart phones came to be commonplace. Far fewer individuals wore corrective glasses. Now, Chinese wearing corrective glasses is ubiquitous and widespread. Eye exercises are the key. Many people wearing corrective lenses, who don't properly exercise their eyesight find that their vision only gets worse in time. To optometrists this is all the better for their business. Maybe the masks not being mandatory for patients is removing a barrier and more an invite to get glasses.
I will seek them out!
