I have family and friends in law enforcement, and I understand why they need to hide their eyes. The real problem is that people no longer respect their fellow humans, and law enforcement... so the 10 percent of humans who are wild animals ruin it for the rest of us and what used to be a mutual respect between communities and law enforcement. So, I get it as to why they wear the dark glasses... but I also think that there are too many LE professionals who abuse their role and authority, and they like being aloof and intimidating. I think it's Arnold Schwarzenegger's fault... you know... Terminator glasses
