I want to report on this live as I watch it for the first time. With beer.
First the agents that attack and capture the "hack everything" device are from the DNI agency But operating in Bogota Colombia? Cool. See devolution for further interest on what the DNI is. Have you ever seen the dni in action movies? I haven't. Second of course they have woke females because if we understand the plan they need to get everybody, even lefties involved in what would ultimately be the truth. Normies and lefties like to watch action movies with little bit of sexiness and even marginal story lines. Statements like "committing high treason or starting a family?" Unique. I haven't had time to do research but does anybody recognize these production companies? I only recognize Universal but I'm also not a big Hollywood movies guy.
Didn't quite get the German/French Intel conversation.
Okay when cute nerdy chick starts to describe the "Shadow brokers and vault 7 leaks" I got a little intrigued. What leaks in the last decade have led us to know about operations that only the most l33t would have ever previously been aware of?
(paraphrased)- 'one that can predict and intercept attacks across passing through any of the 43 access points that control internet traffic.'
99% of hollyweird 'cyber' talk is complete crap. It's generic and embarrassing. They don't even try. The line above is very precise. I don't know the actual number of major fiber demarcs in the world, but the map on the background made me think of these interesting maps here (with mention of nsa's love for the fiber major hubs.)
They need an adaptive database to capture the cyber attacks, "think of it a dewey decimal system for cyber attacks." YOU MEAN LIKE A NUMBERING SYSTEM???
I'm full Q/Devolution tard, I admit and own that. I've watched every cyber-ish movie and series I've ever been able to find, some in foreign languages etc… most are barely tolerable. Never heard them mention a dynamic database like what would be used to track cyber attacks like various agencies are now doing with the likes of R, Splunk, Hadoop etc... maybe wishful thinking but that's some awfully well-informed writing taking place in a modern movie.
Next talk about WW3 - this "magic box" somehow does magic to gain access to all the things, everywhere, all the time. okay. not saying that doesn't exist, because well... hi nsa but I don't take the box as some kinda actual, physical uber usb dongle that can access all the things. I take it as an ability or knowledge perhaps? And that if that ability/knowledge were available to say... nation states because they control the "magic box" they could, with enough time, do all kinds of things…
I'm betting the work quantum will be coming up here at some point… spoiler I was wrong
Another un-subbed part of french language. i'm watching a cam version of it on solarmovie.cr so... yeah. w/e don't judge.
i hate when ppl put their hands to their ears when they use an earpiece. it doesn't work that way. umph.
Fish market scene. neat. package changes hands from multiple apposing sides. Where the hell does these gals wearing skin-tight-ish clothes store so many clips to change?
Anyways i'll keep watching and update if i see anything that's kinda interesting...
okay some "terrorist attacks" that kill the two power grids... huh. Using terrorism as a cover for DS operations? Naw, say it ain't so.
Fast forward to an art auction, where it's not art that's actually up for grabs. It's the magic box. CIA dude reappears, wins, tests it with the main asian seller gal, whos' an agent from somewhere else. winner escapes as all hell breaks loose. again multiple bad guys, multiple good guys, the four chicks are now 5. asian gal gets the 4 out of trouble at the end after CIA guy/buyer/auction winner takes off with the magic box. back at an apartment, asian gal explains, she gave a fake/copy that allegedly couldn't be made. But enough to be traced back to the actual CIA thug's owner/true buyer.
DS was baited and what DS took back allowed them to be tracked. Back hacking. Cool.
asian gal is a hero. she points out the net of bad guys/finance/trade/politician etc that she's had to work with deep cover to get this far iirc. titles and roles of bad guy's network we typically of in a movie but some very specific roles surrounding our studies here on gaw. More movie filling stuff.. Calm again - 'we put our selves in danger so others are not. ' 'we (various spy teams) are different but then we are not.'
- working with multiple other 'patriot' teams around the world? I'd believe that.
some of these ppl with REAL full auto weapons are terrible shots. Magical couches that stop rounds? nice. I wonder if they are Ikea?
some terrible trigger discipline.
After final shootout, all are arrested but magic box is safe, gals are alive. Cia dude goes back to his DS/Cabal magic box buyer/handler, kills him. A double-cross or die as the self-hostage situation? No, say it ain't so. Thinking of nancy being told "don’t say anything" by the agent assigned to babysit her.
Redhead meets up wit CIA dude after he's turned and taken out cabal boss, "full day of betraying all that is the best of humanity really takes a lot out of you huh?" nnnnniiiiiiicccccceeee
Yeah, he's totally getting poisoned. Ancient chinese potion "legend says it's collected by [something] snakes, scorpions centipede's (PEDE's??? WHAT? Come on… ) in a jar forcing them to fight and devour each other. Sorta like that way you see the world NATE (cia guy)" huh.
So what killed the DS was the same thing that all the various poisonous things in the world fight over? Deep bro, deeeepppp.
She doesn't want to kill him, but he's gonna wish that she would. 'I have a team coming to lock you in a cell on the other side of the world where you will spend the rest of your life. You're not the only one with contacts and I'm not alone anymore.'
Observes cute family "look at them, feeling safe, they'll never realize how close they came to losing it all." fml. Ain't that the truth for normies 24/7/365.
"And they'll never know who saved them"
Again, these are not normal hollywierd spy thriller lines ihmo.
Not sure if there is anything to this or not... Will try to analyze any other movie i've watched recently and overlay it with what we research to see if I'm just reading into things... ya'll keep me honest.
I haven't read the whole wall of text yet, but I can tell you that the Vault7 leak is real and it involved all the zero-day exploitsbeing used by the NSA being leaked to the hacker community - it was big news.
Also, since I started working as an internet backbone engineer in the mid 90's I can also tell you that the 43 'choke points' refers to 'peering points'. Not sure if that number is 100% accurate but it seems reasonable to me.
All major tier-1 isp's connect to these peering points to exchange traffic. Two big ones in America are MAE East and MAE West (iirc). - Turns out I'm showing my age, try this though..
https://bgp4.as/looking-glasses
When you hear about BGP re-directs to China etc. (or that facebook outage a little while ago) they happen at these peering points. They control the internet. If it wasn't for them it would just be 'net' without the 'inter'.
Edit: If you want to look at data being exchanged at a particular peering point there are tools out there call 'Looking Glass'. You can check BGP routes and DNS advertisments etc.
Edit2: The dynamic database thing is based on AI monitoring and real-time threat feeds.
Edit3: You made me start looking again, and look what I found...first link no less..

More: There are more than 43..

Wait wut- seriously, "LOOKING GLASS"??
They've been known as that since the 90's
I knew it wasn't the exact number but those peering points are incredibly important. We see those pictures of the internet and fiber connections from Hollyweird but they're usually full of shit. This show was way more accurate than I would have expected.... I'm looking forward to reading the rest of everything you've written and will reply back shortly
Just a quick thanks for your analysis, this is how we win. And this is how we have the knowledge to help others
🍻
Nah Bro. You're just lying about drinking beer. You must be drinking 0.5% non-alcohol beer to get all those words out. I'm drinking 7% (on a Sunday night?) and have to (hiccup)....
No, seriously O.P., that's a really good write up. I don't watch movies anymore, but appreciate the analysis. DNI in a movie. I think I remember when the NSA was first mentioned by Hollywood, in an early-Nineties X-Files episode.
Anyway, back to the beer.
I will admit, I did start late. After the first couple of scenes, I finished the beer and moved on to Martini so I can be a smarter person. Being this far down into wonderland, I feel like we should always second-guess ourselves from being completely tarded. But I hope there was at least a little bit of insight into the peculiarities of this film versus the multitude of many others.
Also with spiderman no way home they try to rehabilitate rather than defeat... not the usual Wonder if this will be future things, promoting positive life lessons and such in movies from here... not getting my hopes up though
Our knowledge of the subject matter tends to get our hopes up, time will tell I guess...
thanks op
Same to you. Just finding a few things here to be a little bit too coincidental...
ive never seen dni in a movie
You would be an honor and definitely would appreciate the additional research from fellow pede's. I also wouldn't mind the reality check if I'm just so far down in wonderland that all I see is reflections of the truth regarding the matrix that we live in today.
