Please continue to call out Christian hypocrisy with me. I am a follower of Christ, but Christ's "religion" consisted of doing what He said and "where two or more of my people gather, there I am also". There's nothing to do with buildings, priests or any of the made up non-sense. Most of the Christian religion is based on Paul NOT Christ. Christ never established a religion. Technically following Christ is a lifestyle choice as well.
But anyway, I don't go out of my way, but when I see it, I call it out for what it is. And yes, some of the more insecure types are still getting over themselves, but as a whole when you invoke logic reasoning and respect, most will start to listen and change themselves.
I am secure in my beliefs. I do not need anyone's permission to have them or anyone's approval for how I follow them. My relationship with God is between Him and I and no one else. Therefore, whatever anyone else claims, is their business. Someone saying they don' believe in God, does not magically speak Him out of existence. God doesn't stop existing just because some people don't believe, yet a lot of Christians knee-jerk react to Seth McFarline making jokes as though he aborted a million puppies and say his jokes are persecution... yeah nevermind people being stoned to death and tortured, Peter Griffin making fun of Jesus is clearly the same... fuckin children.
Funnily enough, while I do believe that what a lot of people believe is 'Christianity' is honestly bullshit, I find myself more unwilling these days to shit on Christianity now that I know that Islam and Judaism seem to be untouchable, while Christianity is an open target.
Both are open targets. Don't give cancerous Cancel culture power by being afraid to criticize. If you know what truth is and you stand on truth, then who cares what anyone else thinks?
Really though, it's better not to shit on any religion. Call them out, question them, sure, but it is always good to do so with respect and not from a place of trying to make people feel bad or insecure.
But that's just it? What is respect? I make fun of religions and such peoples for humorous ice breakings. I don't seek to harm. So intentions really make the difference.
