Heard on NBC Nightly News tonight that AT&T, Verizon, and another cell provider are suspending the rollout until [they] have more "proof" that it'll be harmful. Holt went on to say that those companies were halting the rollout around major airports, etc because the airlines admitted they won't be able to fly in those 5G areas and it would create even more problems, especially because the pilots themselves don't want to fly thru 5G areas. The pilots don't want to fly thru those areas with affected instrumentation.
Which, got me thinking about the supposed "pilot shortage." I think this is connected to that, and the airlines just happened to have COVID around as an excuse. Especially since Europe, India, and a lot of the Asian continent don't want 5G because of the threat it loses to life and machinery.
Edit: here's this from General Aviation News:

According to NPR they are going ahead with nationwide rollout, except near airports.
