From the long running General Hospital, to greys anatomy, house, ER, Scrubs, etc... hollywood has used predictive programming to make us sympathetic towards the medical profession. Until recently, a spotlight has never been shown on the reason why. Big Pharma is just as evil if not worse than the 3 letter agencies. This trickles all the way down to our local communities. These are supposed to be people we can trust with our lives. People who took an oath to help us to the best of their abilities. Now more than ever we hear medical professionals screeching “trust the science” when they damn well know that there are mountains of evidence against that narrative. Yes, there are a handful of good guys out there, but the overwhelming majority are either hell-bent on protecting the narrative or too chickenshit to stand up for what’s right in fear of losing their jobs. I pray that there will be severe consequences that also trickle down to the local level. Personally, I will have a very difficult time trusting any medical professionals into the far and distant future. And there is no excuse for “not knowing better” or “just doing what my superiors told me to” or “I didn’t want to lose my job”. The lives of men, women, and children are already at stake. To the ones strong enough to stand up, God bless you and I thank you with all my heart. To the rest, very simply, FUCK YOU. Each of you deserve what is coming and I pray none of you escape it. There’s a special place in hell for all of you. Nuremberg 2.0 cannot come fast enough.

What dietary changes? My husband and I REALLY want to get him off the BP meds. I want to make sure we are doing the right thing. We are reducing what is given but I am afraid of making a mistake. I have always been an advocate of nutrition, and have training in homeopathy, but unfortunately, realize that I am still fighting my brainwashing in many things. Maybe it is just my lack of confidence in this, as I fight those who are playing God. I make (cook/bake/grow) most of our food myself, and try to get the best ingredients I can when I cannot, but unfortunately the good stuff costs so much more. I grow and preserve a lot of my fruit, berries and veggies, but am limited as I only have a huge balcony, and have to rely on bought stuff in the leaner months. I cannot raise our own meat, though, and to be honest, do not know if I could kill anything anyway. I appreciate and honour the animals we consume, and thank them for their sacrifice, and I have to leave the slaughtering to others. I respect them for being able to do it, when I cannot.
I think my tetanus “booster” a few years ago was what rendered me unable to conceive (😢). Information came too late, but hopefully I can prevent it in someone else. Shame. I would have made a great mum. Especially as I was always an advocate of home schooling. We cannot adopt as we are a white, straight, poor couple, and won’t even be considered.
This has been a wonderful thread! I thank everyone for their opinions and views here. Excellent people giving valuable information.
Cutting back on sugars and increasing potassium intake is what I do. The thinking of cutting back on sodium for those with HBP is an antiquated point of view.

Eating foods that help lower HBP can be done but requires a lowering of dosage for your husband when he is on HBP medication. That is where communication with a trusted doctor is key to helping your husband.
It is very dangerous to be on HBP medication and say consume large amounts of garlic for example. This is why consulting with a trusted doctor to create a road map of what you and your husband want to do is important.
I hope this helps!
Thank you for this information. I am doing such already. I am still looking for a doctor who is even willing to consider getting him off BP meds. All the attitudes so far have been, “if you do, you will die”. I don’t know why, but I don’t find this attitude very helpful <dripping with sarcasm>. The search continues.
We have no fear of ODing on garlic. Garlic triggers massive migraines in me, which is why I am such a good cook...I have found good alternatives with herbs. I still get my husband to eat it when I am not around, but it isn’t very often for him.
I appreciate your insights. Cheers.
