I'd have no problem paying 180 dollars for quality, like Allen Edmonds Strands in nearly new condition. Not for plastic & rubber.

Couldn't agree more. I have a few pairs that I use to rotate thru when I was still on the road. A good pair of shoe trees and rotate and they'll last your career. I had some resoled / restored a few years ago. These things are like bedroom slippers! Big fan of Allen Edmonds.

I bought a pair of Strands at the flea market with trees for 10 dollars once. Got one or two hundred dollars out of them online.
