I hear you. Believe me, they did not get a good pic of my face. It was not facial recognition. The lighting was bad and he had to take a screen shot from his computer screen. I made sure I did not look like I do normally. We fight our battles where we can. I know the low IQ routine. I had a buddy that was a master at it and it worked every time.
Unfortunately, we have to do some things that cannot be helped. Not many of us are in a position where we can just unplug - that is what makes it all so difficult. I have been on the sidelines since this bull crap started just so I did not have to participate in all this Covid crap. Not sure how much longer I will be able to ride it out. When it comes to the IRS, I'm with you. It will be a cold day in hell before I give them my face so they can take my money. As far as the phone. All these people know is my cheap trac phone that has no internet or touchscreen capability. It's just a phone.
We have the capacity to bring this whole thing down. The phones are the key. But, will people be willing to give the damn things up in order to have their freedom?
Honestly a clone phone is a great idea. That’s why I use my prepaid bit w cards I don’t purchase.
I need to look into some of the SIM by mail stuff now that I think about it
That is the phone I take with when I leave my house. It is off and in a faraday bag. I only need it in the event of an emergency. In addition, it has all my backup numbers. So, if something happens to my smart phone, I don't lose my numbers. The smart phone stays at home and is off most of the time. I only use it for phone calls and texting. Most all the apps are either disabled or uninstalled. Location is off. On the rare occasion I am online, I have a VPN. Hey, there is a reason why crooks and spies use burner phones.
