Anyways, the filibuster is essentially what keeps our Senate from being able to pass bills unilaterally from what I understand. The filibuster was established to allow a minority in the Senate to slow down or block a vote on a bill by refusing to stop talking about why they disagreed with the majority.
The Democrats in our government have had lots of problems with the filibuster because it keeps them from being able to advance their Communist agenda.
