This is what's called "mass formation psychosis" and is literally how [they] bring it about. Subtle, yet distinct thought lines and patterns that have been imprinted on the Sheelpe/Normies thru subliminal suggestion, usually by focusing on the public's collective fears.

yes that sounds exactly like what's happening, it's fascinating and scary at the same time. I read a lot about programmed/soulless NPCs, think we're surrounded by them.
