My husband just ordered some free kits from the post office but I am wary of them. What is the sauce on these? I don't even care how accurate they are, but whether they put anything into your body with the swabs or if they can be used for collecting data or marking you in any way. Sorry to be so skeptical but a few weeks ago, test kits were expensive and hard to find. Now they are practically throwing them at us.

Dont be testing. Why would you want them? They just give false positives and Lord knows what that swab was treated with. Like playing Russian roulette. Why would you even entertain the thought?
Pardon me while I clean the rest of the egg from my face. As was pointed out to me by Litecola2, it is I who am the dolt, and a sap. As your post was beneath the rest of the posts related to mine, I assumed that it also related to my post. I failed to refer to the post lines. I own my stupid. I defer to the correction of my peers. Fortunately, in this case, the result of my ignorance wasn't terminal, but public humiliation. My public apologies.
PS - To further express my regret, I down voted my own response to your post.
Reading comprehension is such a troublesome thing, yes?
First, never did I imply that I would use the test kits on any person, I specifically stated that I would use them to test random substances.
Second, the primary reason that I, and TruumpGal42261, ordered them is to deplete their supply so that other, more ignorant/uninformed, persons don't have them available to use on themselves.
Talk about a self-own. Lyonesrising is answering OP, you sorry sap.

Did you know they collapse, too, to help keep you on the right thread?
Pardon me while I clean the rest of the egg from my face. You are quite correct Litecola2, it is I who am the dolt, and a sap. As the post from Lyonsrising was beneath the rest of the posts related to mine, I assumed that it also related to my post. I failed to refer to the post lines. I own my stupid. I appreciate your forthrightness in calling me out, and I defer to your correction. Fortunately, in this case, the result of my ignorance wasn't terminal, but public humiliation. My public apologies.
be skeptical , dont bother with them
no tests,no masks,no vaccines
I ordered 4 (just so that I can help deplete their supply) and plan to test random substances (just for grins and giggles). If the results prove more than mildly interesting, I may report them here.
LOL i did the same. I figured if I ordered 4 then thats 4 less the followers can use and report .
How do I order

Thanks! I’ll soon be testing everything in my fridge
Sounds like fun
I was thinking of ordering some and then experimenting with testing mangos, etc
I listed to conservative talk show vicki mckenna on a local station, she said none of the home tests are any good if they freeze, is this correct? Also Her podcasts are great if anyone is looking for something more to listen to.
Rumor was the reagent was sodium azide, exercise extreme care if you get/use/dispose of these
We should all order as many and we possibly can get and dispose of them so they can't be used to artificially inflates the numbers and further.
Or do as suggested by other PEDES, document results of testing pets, fruits, ants, etc. We home school, I'm thinking this would be a nice science unit.
