Things that have been science fiction at some point in my life:
Color TV, calculators, computers, monitors (I learned to code on a tele-type machine -- frens coded with Holorith cards), gaming systems, internet, social media, cell phones, CD players, electric cars, e-readers, tablets, fitness trackers, GPS, microwave ovens, flat screen TVs, voice recognition tech, virtual reality...
Shall I continue?
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
Zoom and live catface filters...
It's easy to believe in nonsense after discovering everything you thought you knew turned out to be a lie. When not being able to discern what is true and what is not, the confusion makes you susceptible.
Look at flat earthers for example. They believe an obvious lie, disinformation designed to distract from the truth.
Can you, personally, prove to the flat earther that the world is round? Or, are you simply relying on what someone else has told you, as well?
My point is, keep an open mind. The truth will, eventually, win out.
And, if man were meant to fly, he'd have wings...
