FYI, not that it matters now but both Clapton and Morrison rose to fame by being counter culture/anti establishment pioneers if you will. Ironically the same “mindset” is now very much not counter culture and has now embraced the establishment.
Interesting what was once considered “punk rock” is now... Trump. Look at John Lydon (ex Sex Pistols lead singer) is very outspoken and without saying it practically endorses Trump and our movement... something he was radically against back in the 1970s. But they (the Sex Pistols) were very aware of the evil that the British Empire was and they often sang about it. Their song ‘God Save the Queen’ is an anthem very much opposed to the British Monarchy. Fast forward to today and you look back when guys like Lydon were rallying against the establishment... well, they were almost prophets. It was right there all along.
Lydon quote: I never thought I'd see the day when the right wing would become the cool ones giving the middle finger to the establishment and the left wing would become the sniveling, self righteous twatty ones going out shaming everyone.
I heard an interview with Lydon talking about Saville and child sexual abuse. I (think), in the same interview he talked about Saville's incredible access to minor patients in British hospitals, and weird things he did in a morgue. Too bad Saville is dead, I'd like to see him hang.

“She ain’t no human being” in 1977. Two years later “ lydon told a BBC reporter. “ we all know about Jimmy Savile.
Back then David Icke was starting out as a sports anchor at the BBC

BBC got bashful when Lydon brought Savile up. When he said "we all know..." the BBC sure knew. Then they got mad and didn't allow Lydon on air again.
