children will often not tell what abuse goes on. being picked out at an early age and frequently made an example of since third grade probably started me on a snowball that ended at the bottom of the hill very angry and not trusting anyone. I had no one I could complain to. I'd like to think if something like this was around back then maybe another parent would have objected... at any rate, not everyone has a wonderful life in public school full of enrichment and childhood glee, not everyone has a nuclear family with supportive parents.
if we video all police officers because of a very few bad eggs, why not monitor all teachers because of a very few bad eggs?
The reality is most kids don't have that bullshit either. The ones who have a great HS experience are the ones who are rich and popular.
But the concept of school itself is wrong anyway and needs overhaul
My family is not rich and my son is far from popular but is having a fantastic high school experience thus far because he puts in the effort in not only his homework but to participate in extracurricular activities, volunteer, and, participate in opportunities that have led to no only good paying gigs but also have opened his eyes to career opportunities he had not considered previously.
