Almost all Canadian media is either state-funded or state-sponsored currently. Only a couple that aren't on the government payroll.
I keep having to remind people of this :P. In 2015, the Trudope gov't gave Unifor a $60 million cheque for something. Now, Unifor is a 'general trades' union across the private sector, but they are who look after the journalists here.
